Dear Member (Magpies)
With the Queensland Government Health Orders (COVID) extended until Sunday 8th August (4pm) - impacting the 11 local government zones in South East Queensland - and in compliance with this order, the executive of the SBDCC has decided to delay the AGM again until Thursday 12th August at 7pm. The meeting will also be moved to a virtual meeting (over Microsoft Teams or Zoom).
I apologise for the second delay to this meeting. The delay will allow the executive to get the meeting staged virtually and allow a greater number of members to attend (virtually). I encourage all magpies to attend, send in questions and hear what the club has planned not only for this coming season, but plans for the future.
The club remains in a strong financial position and is planning for further investment and growth over coming seasons. As promised in my last email, I attach a copy of the Audited Financial Statements of the SBDCC for the past year (ending 31 May 2020). The financial outcome shows a surplus of approx. $28k for the 2020/21 season. This result cannot be viewed in isolation and is the result of hard work from all members and committee members over the past few years. There is a lot of detail in the numbers which I will go through at the AGM.
A link to the meeting will be sent closer to next Thursday. I strongly encourage all members to attend the meeting.
If you have any questions regarding the AGM or financial result, please feel free to contact me on 0419 739 023 or DM me or the Souths Instgram or Facebook accounts.
