Head Coach

Ken is a former First Grade player for Souths and Premiership winner. Ken has represented Queensland and had a distinguished coaching career winning many premierships in representative cricket and senior grade cricket. Ken brings a wealth of experience as a Level 2 coach and we are excited to have him on board for 2022-23

David Short

Mens Grade Coach

David Short is a former first grade player for Souths and is the current Mens grade coach and Under 19s coach.

Baba Sourjah

Mens Grade Coach

Baba is a stalwart of the Club, a Life Member and was the Head Coach from last First Grade premiership in 2001. A level 3 coach who has international coaching experience through coaching sints in the Maldives (2002 ), Bhutan (2003-2007 ) and also in the Malaysian Premier League with Penang State. Known for his disciplinarian ways around the club, he continues to coach and develop junior players and works closely with seniors.

Jack Hurst

Coach - Lord's Taverners

For the 2024-25 season, the club has appointed Mr Jack Hurst as Head Coach for our Lord's Taverners program. Jack is part of the furniture at Souths having played since his junior days. Jack has won premierships, coached, been part of the Committee, Chair of Selectors - basically done it all. He is well accredited to take over the role of Head Coach for our Under 17 Lord's Taverners program.

Jonathon Isoardi

Under 19s Coach

Jonathon has stepped up this season to assist in the Under 19 space. He was an extremely talented and tough cricketer in his own right, Jonathon will bring a perfect balance or competitiveness and development to the Under 19 team this year. Again, only 5 games for the Under 19 Competition and we look forward to seeing Jonathon get the best out of the group for the year.

Brendon Gibson

Womens Head Coach

Mr Brendon Gibson has been appointed as Head Coach of our Womens Cricket Program for 2024-25. Gibbo has done it all at Souths - played, coached and administrated for over 25 years. A true servant of the Magpies and giving back to our young females and women to develop them into better players for the long run.
